This Old House Is All I Have

I directed and edited a dance film that explores the paradox of home in contemporary society, where homeownership is increasingly regarded as essential yet remains difficult to attain. Working closely with a choreographer, I developed movements based on repetitive everyday gestures and used cross-cutting to reveal how these routines gradually become compulsive patterns. As time passes, the repetition comes to reflect memory and loss. The film examines what home means today and how the pursuit of keeping or reclaiming it can lead to isolation.

Created as a graduation project, the work was inspired by a song by AAL and interpreted through choreography and visual storytelling.
