I directed and edited a dance film that examines the paradox of home in contemporary society, where ownership is an essential part of life but increasingly difficult to achieve. Working with a choreographer, I developed movements based on repetitive daily gestures and used cross-editing to show how these routines turn into obsessive habits. As time passes, the repetition becomes a reflection of memory and loss. The film looks at what home means today and how people can become isolated in the process of trying to keep or regain it.
Created as a graduation project, the work was inspired by a song by AAL, interpreted through choreography and visual narrative.
